The Real Time Penguin Algorithm Is Coming Soon

Google’s Gary Illyes revealed that he hopes the next Penguin update will be soon, hopefully by the end of the year.  What’s new about this update is that they plan on making it a real-time version of the algorithm.

The goal of making the Penguin algorithm work in real time has been in the works for some time but it may finally happen.  With a real time algorithm, the moments Google discovers that a bad link has been removed or disavowed, it would process that information and you’d be able to recover from Penguin penalties incredibly quickly.

Alternatively, this means you could also be  penalized just as quickly.  With this, we will be able to run experiments on linking power and domain credibility from bad websites. We look forward to seeing how fast this “real-time” algorithm will actually be.
