Yahoo has announced new changes within its products and services including shutting down Yahoo Maps by the end of this month. After an eight year run the company has decided to shut its maps site down.
The map service will not be going away completely, other services including its search engine and Flickr will still support its map service. Yahoo has been struggling to rejuvenate its suite of services that ranges from Finance to Shopping to Fantasy Sports.
Yahoo is scaling back mail support on the built in Mail app for older versions of Apple’s iPhone operating systems. Yahoo Movies in Spain and music services in Canada and France are also closing. Other services such as Yahoo TV, Yahoo Autos in UK, France, German, Spain and Italy will also end at the end of June.
