You may have noticed that the location of Google Map and local pack results has changed. When searching for local queries in Google Search, results and maps will now be located below the fold of a page.
Users will now need to look past the ads at the top and keep going past other results to reach the map and results that are local. Here is an example of what you could be seeing when doing a local search:
