If you have checked your Google My Business Insights lately, you may have noticed that it has changed! On Tuesday August 9th, Google announced that they updated the Google My Business Insights feature. The feature helps business owners view how people find and interact with their Google local listing in an analytics setting.
The updated feature now has a breakdown of how many people are seeing your listing on Google search as well as Google Maps. In their blog, Google stated.
“To better serve our users, we’re focusing these new insights for local listings on Google Search and Maps, and removing Google+ statistics from the dashboard.”
Another new feature is that Google will now let you see the comparison between user’s who found your page by searching for your name directly and discovered it by searching for a related keyword. However, Google will not display any specific keywords that people used to find your website.
It’s important for businesses to continue optimizing their page by adding photos, responding reviews, updating business hours and new contact information to help users out!
