Whether this is in the form of pictures or videos, more and more companies are beginning to publish content that is visually appealing to the customer. One of the biggest reasons for this is the amount that small businesses are publishing content. The more content you have on your site the more Google can crawl your website and give rewards to having fresh, updated material.
The study also came to the conclusion that 83% of businesses with over 50 employees published content monthly.

When it comes to content, there are a variety of different kinds. The most popular forms of content that were produced by small business, from most popular to least popular, goes as followed: Company information, visuals, product descriptions, reviews, videos, blog posts, podcasts.
When small business owners were asked where they planned to spend their money on moving forward, the answers were slightly different. The top 5 were visuals, videos, articles and blog posts, downloadable content, and podcasts.
So what does all of that mean? It means companies are seeing a shift in what customers respond to and think is appealing on their websites. Visuals draw in customers better and can help tell the story of your company in a more detailed way. For example, having a description of a product is useful but when you pair that with a picture of what the product looks like, it allows customers to visualize what you are trying to say. The more visuals you have, the more customers can relate to your business and understand the message you are trying to send.
