Google has announced that in the next few weeks it will be releasing its new benchmark reports. What are these benchmarking reports? Its basic function is to let businesses evaluate themselves against the industry standard in acquisition and engagement metrics.
The benchmarking program will allow users to select from a list of 1,600 industry categories, 1,250 markets and seven size-buckets. It will also give metric results for channels, locations and device category dimensions. Along with those features the new benchmarking program will include a heat map feature that will highlight areas in which you can improve by redistributing your time and resources.
The Benchmarking tool will be located under the “Audience” section and will only be able to be used by those who have opted-in to share data anonymously.
