AMP stands for Accelerated Mobile Pages and it is one of Google’s projects that is supported by publishers and platforms such as Twitter, analytics tools, and from advertising networks. AMP allows web content to be delivered faster on mobile devices and promote enhanced distribution for publishers. However, this project is still in testing right now. Google announced today that they plan to debut their fast-loading AMP within Google Search early next year to the public. Google will be sending traffic to your AMP pages in Google Search in early 2016 and they plan to share more details on timing soon. While we are waiting for this release, Google is encouraging people now to begin experimenting with building AMP pages for their sites. Check out more information about the AMP pages here.
