When it comes to selecting a professional service online, you want to go with a company that is trusted by not only their customers but trusted by the service directory and other known companies. Businesses with badges from AngiesList and the BetterBusinessBureau are perfect examples of ways businesses can showcase their guaranteed service to potential new customers. Aside from those badges, Google introduced Google Guaranteed as a way to showcase to searchers businesses and services that Google trusts. In addition to this, Google has introduced yet another program for professional services named “Google Screened.”
What is Google Screened?
Google Screened is another confidence program that businesses can go through to become more trusted by Google to attract more leads. It is currently a test program that is limited to a few industries including lawyers, financial planners, and realtors in San Diego and Houston. In order to be eligible for Google Screened, businesses must possess a star rating on Google of 3.0 or more.
How Is It Different From Google Guaranteed?
Being compared to Google Guaranteed, Google Screened since it is still being tested isn’t as readily available like Guaranteed. With Google Guaranteed, it is available across multiple industries such as HVAC, appliance repair, house cleaning, painting, moving, locksmiths, etc. In addition, if someone books through Google then the program offers a money-back guarantee of up to $2,000.
How Are The Programs Similar?
To become Google Guaranteed, businesses must pass background checks and have their licenses and insurance details verified. For Google Screened, businesses will have to go through the same background check process but Screened does not have the money-back-guarantee option that Guaranteed does. The one thing that Google Screened has over Guaranteed is that the industries that Screened is available to don’t have to be Google Screened in order to appear in Google Assistant results. So if businesses want to appear in Google Assistant results n smartphones and Google Home devices, they have to be Google Guaranteed. For the time being businesses that fall under the Google Screened realm don’t have to worry about this requirement for not. If Google decides to expand the Screened program then that could change down the road.
Why We Should Care?
When it comes to owning a business, it is all about gaining traffic and leads.
