According to 9to5Mac, Apple is publishing place pages for select public landmarks. For those that have the most recent MacOS update, Sierra, you can find these pages in your Safari toolbar. If you’re still using the El Captain version, a drop down page, with no URL, will show similar inquiries.
These URLS, or Apple Maps ID + Lat/Long + Name, will be used for sharing, specifically for those that have non-Apple platforms or products. There’s a possibility that they may be used to index on Google and Bing.
We can only assume that these pages will eventually be indexed. At the moment, they aren’t showing up in any search results, but are predicted to rank well if they do indeed index.
