SEO is a tactic that is used to make sure your website is attainable to a search engine and enhances visibility in search results. Best practices for SEO include:
- Titles and meta descriptions (this is placed on the back part of your website that tells Google what your business does)
- Back links (links back of your site)
- Domain age (how long your website has been around)
- Social media (Google +, Twitter, Facebook etc.)
SEM (Search Engine Marketing)
SEM is a much broader term for SEO, it is used for paid search results such as ads it is also known as pay per click. It is usually placed at the top of a search result page. They are paid each time someone clicks on the link.
