Tech Companies Team up to Avoid a Similar Heartbleed Virus

Earlier this year the insidious Heartbleed virus exposed vulnerability in the majority of web servers worldwide. In response to this, many tech companies have joined together to try to prevent a similar virus in the future.  Companies including: Facebook, Microsoft, Google, and many others have pledged $100,000 a year, for a total of $4,000,000, for the next three years towards research on how to thwart a similar virus. Hopefully their due-diligence pays off and the internet is a more secure place because of it.
