Google announced, back in May, that they were considering removing the Content Keywords feature within its Search Engine Console. This was one of the earliest features, of Search Engine Console, to tell webmasters what the Googlebot found when crawling a website. Over the years, Google started implementing other features to their webmasters tools platform. These new features would perform the same or similar services that Content Keywords would perform. These feature include Search Analytics and Fetch.
Many users would also report that they were confused by the keywords that would appear in the Content Keywords list. As some words were irrelevant to their business or website. For these reasons, Google has decided to give the green light to completely get rid of the feature all together. Another feature that Google decided to drop from their Search Engine Console was the Sitelinks demotion. Google constantly makes configurations to their platforms to better improve the user experience for all webmasters.
