Confirmed by Gary Illyes of Google Analytics Trends, Penguin 4.0 will be officially released by the end of the year. The response was to a question asked by Andrew Isidoro, SEO and Social Media Manager at GoCompare, on Twitter earlier this week asking if we will see an official roll out of Google Penguin within the calendar year. Gary Illyes responded with a simple one word “yes” response.
Google Panda 4.0 will be the “real time” update to Panda. The premise of the real time update is to be able to update the Panda algorithm as soon as it becomes available. The new update will remove links that have either been removed or disavowed by Google or are considered as spam, as soon as they are found. The Penguin algorithm will process at a faster rate than before, which means that the process to recover from a Penguin penalty is much quicker and so is the process of getting a penalty too.
