With Google’s search plus your world it is more important than ever for a business not only to have a Google plus Business page, but also to have their business’ page optimized as much as possible. Similar to the way you can optimize your Facebook business page, and optimize your twitter page here are some tips to make improve your Google Plus page.
Make sure all information is complete as possible. Just like Facebook business pages, add your business hours, and your website address
Title: Google recognizes your Business Name as the page’s title tag in searches
Headline (description): Below you business’ name is the page’s headline or description. Write your headline just like you would write a meta description, but try to limit the headline to around 80-90 characters
Introduction
In your introduction use keywords when writing a description of the business, but make sure that you do not use too many keywords so that you look like spam. Additionally, when using keywords provide an anchor link back to a specific page on your site the corresponding reflects the keyword.
Add photos
The most important picture to have is a profile picture. This helps to build brand identity and makes your page more visually appealing. After you add a profile picture, make sure that you add at least 5 additional photos. These photos will display across the top of the page so make sure they are your best work.
Add recommended links
On the right sidebar you can add recommend links. Take advantage of this area by adding links to your other social profiles such as Facebook, LinkedIn or twitter. You can also add links to your blog or other pages you may have.
Link your profile on your website
Lastly, link your profile on your website by adding a Google+ badge or Google plus widget using Google’s code generator for Google plus.
