Google’s Assistant is coming to iOS in its own stand alone application. The trusted source that announced this news stated that Google will announced is official plans for this new app at the Google I/O developer conference this week. There has been speculation that the app will be a mix of the chat-style interaction in Google Allo and the voice-controlled searching in the Android OS. Other than that, there are few details to further speculate on.
When this eventually launches, however, we do know that it will be only available in the US. This makes sense as the Android version is only available in a limited number of regions around the world. More updates on this new venture into iOS will be available later in the week after the conference in which the search engine giant will announce this venture.
This new app is in hope to expand Google’s reach in the voice search market as it is primarily used in Android OS systems.
