Mark Zuckerburg announced yesterday during an investor relations phone call that Instagram has reached 200 million users. Out of the 200 million users, 50 million have signed up within the last six months. Unlike Facebook’s prvevious skewed figures, Instagram states that the 200 million users are active users, which means there may be millions of inactive users not being factored in to statistics.
Facebook’s purchase and integration of Instagram has likely led to such dramatic increases. In addition to Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and others, Instagram is now an account that every business should sign up for and use frequently.
