What does your business look like across Google?
With the transition into the new Google Places dashboard, it is now easier to see how your business looks across Google.
- Start by logging into your dashboard at www.google.com/places. If you do not see your listing, or your listing is no longer claimed or verified, read our post here to find out why this may be happening.
- Click onto the ‘Listing’ tab in the menu on the left hand side of the page. Once you are here, it may be a good time to check to see that all of your information is up to date and recent. Adding photos or a nicely written description for visitors using your target keywords can really improve your listing and make it look more credible.
- When you are done making updates and have submitted them, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you will see links to view your live listings on Google Search, Google Plus, and Google Maps
Using this tool on your dashboard allows you to see how your business appears in live search results. When your search result shows up on Google it includes user reviews, hours, location, photos, contact information, and descriptions that you’ve added to your listing as well as any recent posts you’ve made to Google Plus. Using this set of links on your dashboard you can also view and make edits to your Google Plus business profile. Be sure to monitor how your business appears to potential clients on the internet with regular check ups on your listings and social media profiles and search results.
