Google has recently integrated Google Maps into Apple’s spotlight search. With this update, users can now quickly access recent searches and saved places. To do this:
- Run a search using Google Maps on your mobile device and save/star the location.
- Go to spotlight; swipe right on the home screen.
- Type in the search bar, and you then previously searched locations will appear in the search results of spotlight.
- You can then tap on the Google Maps icon, which will take you to the profile page of that saved search within the maps app.
This update will make it easier for those who use the spotlight search on the iPhone, to access Google Maps. As well as making the saving of locations in the Google Maps app worth it.
