We’ve all thought it before.. how can I tweet at other businesses and consumers about my company without spamming or annoying them? There are two ways you can help spread the word about your business without feeling like you are bombarding the twitter world with never-ending tweets!
- If you are willing to spend some money, you can always try Twitter’s advertising feature where you can opt in to have a new or existing tweet appear in the timeline of a new audience. This feature allows you to run campaigns to get more followers, more clicks and more leads! Twitter also gives you the opportunity to target your ideal audience (by location, age, interests, keywords, etc.) so that you are attracting relative followers to your business.
- Keep it old school and use your hashtags! Did you know that tweets with hashtags receive two times more engagement than those without? Thats because #hashtags can be searched by other users who are interested in that specific topic. Once your tweet has a hashtag included, it becomes a part of the Twitter-verse, allowing plenty of exposure for your campaign or business.
Whichever approach you choose, be sure that your main focus is engaging with potential consumers. Tweet ideas, events and content that are relevant to your ideal audience’s needs.
