It can sometimes feel cumbersome adding photographs to WordPress sites. No matter how difficult you try, it always seems photographs never fit exactly where you desired them to go. If you’re trying to mix in photographs with text, an easy way to simplify this is the WPBakery Visual Composer plug-in (see photo on right). For admins accustomed to using the default WordPress editor, there may be a bit of a learning curve with Visual Composer. However, its near-infinite number of customizable options allows you to design your website precisely to your liking.
While Visual Composer is undoubtedly useful, it doesn’t offer any kind of photo album customizer. Photo albums can be incredibly effective at conveying a number of your business’ features to your customers. They can be used for showing customers’ positive testimonials, visual displays of your product or services (particularly useful for service businesses), and your business’ involvement in the community.
Perhaps the best photo album plug-in to use is the simply titled, “Gallery”. The plug-in allows you to easily upload photographs, add in alt text and complement your photos with descriptions. There are different photo gallery formats available, including slideshows, image browsers, thumbnail viewers, and carousel displays. WebDorado, the plug-in’s creator, also offers add-ons, including the Facebook Integration Add-On, which allows you to easily add photographs from Facebook into your site’s galleries without needing to constantly screenshot photos from your Facebook.
