Do you speak more than one language at home? Over half the world’s population speaks multiple languages. Google can now keep up with the Google Search app on Android. The App will understand you no matter which language you choose to speak. Previously you could switch between 50 languages for voice search by going into your settings but you can now alternate between different languages with much more convenience . The only limitation at this time is you must stick with one language per sentence.
Google’s Search app version 3.6 allows you to select 5 languages and then you can switch back and forth easily. This app will automatically be able to identify what language you are using within the 5 chosen.
“So you can fire off a search for nearby restaurants in English, then dictate a text to your friend in French.” explained by David Eustis, a Software Engineer in the Official Google Search Blog.
Give the app a try on your Android device! Check to see if you have the latest Google Search App(version 3.6) from Play Store. Once updated and installed, go to Google Setting in your device’s apps menu, and tap Search&Now -> Voice -> Languages -> and select your languages.
