Google Will Stop Displaying Emoji Symbols In The Search Results

Google will soon be gettipraying hands emojing rid of emojis in search results, in particular, for desktop users. A couple weeks ago, Google was displaying emojis and webmasters were adding them to their titles and meta descriptions to experiment and see if it would effect their click thru rates.

Many other webmasters jumped on the band wagon and began putting emojis in all their title tags, causing SERPs to be overrun with tiny smiley faces and praying hands. (Right)

Google’s John Mueller said that they will be removing emojis from search results soon via a Google Hangout. It does not mean your web pages with emojis will be penalized, it simply means Google will stop showing the emojis in search results.
