This decision comes after 41,000 internet users in Europe have made requests to take down certain personal information. Google’s intention to make users aware when a search result has been taken down will be similar to when Google receives a copyright notice. An alert would be placed at the bottom of a search result page where it has removed links.
The URLs that will be requested to be taken down will probably not be exposed. But it’s perhaps there would be some sort of explanation as to why it was removed.
Although this plan has yet to be put into action, it will probably appear in the near future.
