For those looking to quickly find mistakes on certain links so you can fix them and validate the fixes as soon as possible, Google Search Console has just added two new features to help you. Within the Google URL testing tool, you can now search within your markup to find code and fix them. This also applies to AMP Test, Rich Results, & URL inspection tool. Both of these features make checking rendered markup and adjusting it easier.
The Features
- Search within the markup so you can quickly find the spot in the markup that you want or need to adjust.
- Copy the code and markup and then make tweaks to it and see if those tweaks pass validation and result in the outcome you desire.
Why Are They Important
These new features should make the process of debugging issues with your markup for structured data issues faster. These features also allow webmasters to quickly track and locate the source of the issues and allow you to copy the exact code to make changes so there are no longer issues. Below is the official announcement from the official Google Webmasters Twitter account stating the feature and what it does.
