It can be quite frustrating when Google maps quickly navigates you to your destination, only to find out that there is no parking. So there you are, driving in circles for what feels like hours. Finally, Google is going to help us out.
The new Google Maps Android app will now tell you if it’s difficult to find parking at your destination. However, this is only used in 25 areas:

- Atlanta

- Charlotte
- Chicago
- Detroit
- Los Angeles
- Minneapolis/St. Paul
- New York City
- Orlando
- Philadelphia
- Pittsburgh
- San Diego
- St. Louis
- Tampa
- Washington, DC
- Cleveland
- Dallas/Fort Worth
- Denver
- Houston,
- Phoenix
- Portland
- Sacramento
The main goal of the new feature is to to help users properly plan out their travel time. There will be an icon in red which reads, “limited” parking.
