In yet another effort to provide a better user experience and further lock down its position as the leader in online search, Google has recently launched a new feature that links third-party booking and ordering sites to Google Maps and Google Search thus making it easy for users to order food delivery, book appointments, and make reservations for businesses in their area.
Google states that the links to booking options will appear automatically for eligible businesses with existing relationships with participating third-party partners. Partners now include Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu and MyPizza.com. There’s currently no way to add custom action links, or access this feature directly through Google My Business but that should change with time. For now, requests for your business can be made by filling out this convenient online interest form.
We look forward to more third-party partners and functionality to be added to this feature. We’re also very interested in seeing how this update will improve search engine optimization for marketers and business owners alike. Check back for updates on this and other Google features under development.
