If you noticed a recent fluctuation in your Google search results, it is not due to a Panda or Penguin Algorithm update – so you can breathe a sigh of relief. Although Google has not fully confirmed the reason for the changes in search results, some are speculating that the change is due to the recent mass mobile-site warnings.
Within the past few months, Google told webmasters that they are going to start penalizing websites that are not considered to be mobile-friendly.
Whether these changes are caused by mobile-friendly warnings or not all we can do is keep an eye out on our search rankings, honor white hate SEO practices and keep up with whatever curve balls Google will send out our way.
Not sure if your website is mobile-friendly? Check your Google Webmasters account – you should have received an email from Google alerting you about the upcoming changes/penalties to those without mobile-friendly websites.
