It’s been 3 ½ years since a related deal with made with Google, but soon enough Tweets will be showing up in Google searches.
Bloomberg business reported that Twitter is giving Google access to the social media’ firehose. This means that Google will be capable of indexing tweets right after they are posted by users. Over the next couple of months, posts from Twitter users will automatically added to Google searches.
Tweets being indexed by Google is one of the steps that the microblogging platform is taking to ensure that content is visible outside of its own website.
