Before you start to worry that you’ll be hit with this new restriction on your paid SEM campaign, know that this new rule applies only to about 1% of Adwords customers. Google has officially declared that big-scale businesses and agencies will now have to pay for their campaigns via an invoicing process. The credit card processing fees that Google is required to pay for these accounts undoubtedly adds up over time; this will save them a substantial amount of money throughout each year. For the rest of Adwords users, credit cards are still an accepted form of payment, but it will be interesting to see if Google receives any backlash from any large scale accounts.
