Google Analytics Has Added Brand and Generic Paid Search Channels

Recently Google has added a convenient feature to Google Analytics that separates brand and non-brand paid search terms into similar channels. Non-brand terms have been grouped under the Generic Paid Search Channel. Click –through rate and domain name will be placed under Brand Paid Search channel. It will have a more accurate understanding of how your brand and generic keywords will work together to drive conversions.

How to set up

A new Manage Brand Terms tab has been set up under Channel Settings

  1. Identify and enter your terms
  2. Create new channels in the Default Channel Grouping
  3. Create new channels in the MCF Channel Grouping
