As you create content for your website pages or a blog, you should be thinking like a user instead of the creator. Instead of thinking, “where should I place a link?” say to yourself, “where would I want to see a link?”. When creating content, pretend that you’re reading a newspaper and think about where a link naturally would exist.
If you’re an automotive company and you’re writing about a membership you have, you would want to, internally, link the benefits that are supplied. Things such as:
- Towing
- Tire Service
- Repairs
- Discounts
These are all things that could be linked to different pages, on your website, and would make sense to have a link. By linking these items, you would be able to provide the user with more information that is engaging.
