What is the future of Google Local Search? There seems to be numerous ways that Google’s algorithm chooses to display search results. Some of these include:
- Displaying a local results directly below a search result with a title and description
- Displaying the local result to the right of a search results with only the title
- Displaying the local results in their own section of a page in a smaller font
Most recently I have now seen Google displaying local search results in a large black bar when searching for restaurants and food delivery. Is this because there are so many results and Google does not know how to effectively display this in their algorithm? Could this be the future of local search? This potential layout could mean a big win for SEOs managing restaurants websites since the results are displayed above any Adwords campaigns.
