Google AdWords users worldwide have recently been reporting complaints regarding their keyword quality scores and how significantly their quality scores have declined. This widespread issue has left AdWords users reporting exact match brand keywords that had a previous quality score of 10 are now showing a quality score of 6.
It is still unclear how many AdWords accounts have been affected. A Google spokesperson has issued a statement regarding this global widespread issue, “We’re aware of a bug that is affecting quality score reporting and are actively working to fix this. Rest assured, the bug affects reporting only, not ad serving. We’re expecting it to be fixed in the next day.” Google has then communicated with Search Engine Land with the latest update, “We’re aware of a bug that is affecting quality score reporting and are actively working to fix this. Rest assured, the bug affects reporting only, not ad serving. We’re currently rolling out fixes and expect all accounts to see normal reporting by tomorrow.”
