Bing Ads, the ad placement system for Bing, is beginning to offer the option of “enhanced sitelinks”. These sitelinks (additional links under the main ad link) will now feature additional text of the advertiser’s choice. The enhanced sitelink can be boosted with additional informative text to help guide the user to those links.
The enhanced sitelinks will only appear when an ad appears in the top spot with high-performing ads. They will most likely be triggered by a direct search for the brand name or product. Additionally, the actual sitelinks have to sacrifice space for the sitelink descriptions to trigger: sitelinks will have to be less than 25 characters.
The enhanced sitelink feature is available in all markets except for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
