It can be perceived that the only social media platform for B2B (business to business) companies to use is LinkedIn. Trackmaven recently gathered information based on B2B’s performance on different social media platforms. While they did report that LinkedIn was used by 94% of B2B marketers, their results also show an increase in on other social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
This report showed that Instagram was the top social media site for engagement ratios for B2B markets, with 22.53 while LinkedIn’s engagement ratio was 1.09. In second, came Pinterest with 15.88 on Pinterest followed by Facebook with 5.99 and Twitter with the least engagement ratio with 0.86. Optimizing Instagram and other visual social media platforms can drive more traffic and increase level’s of engagement with other businesses.
Only optimizing LinkedIn to engage in B2B marketing may not be the best route, take the time to explore more visual channels to increase engagement and traffic. If you expand your optimization for your business by using images and videos, it can be beneficial instead of just using text.
