Properly optimizing your WordPress website can be a challenge for some people. Mainly because the average person doesn’t know what to do, but also because it can be time consuming. A few months ago, the All-In-One SEO Pack made an update to version 2.0 to help simplify the process to make it easier for beginners to use. Not only that, but the new updates can even help the experts save time by creating new short-cuts and other new functions.
The first noticeable change is the navigation. Before you would need to hover over “Settings”, then find All-In-One SEO, but now it has its own tab at the top of the left hand navigation. When you click “All-In-One SEO”, it brings you to the “general” settings where you are now able to verify Google Analytics, Google Webmasters, Bing Webmasters and even Pinterest. These new features will not only save you some time, but it also means less plugins you will need on your site.
When writing your Page Titles and Meta Descriptions, this update will now allow you to view a SERP snippet of what this page will look like when it shows up in a Google or Bing search result. This is helpful to not only show you the amount of characters used for each page, but visually, it will show you what gets cut off so you can make sure it reads smoothly for users.
Lastly, one of my favorite features of the plugin, now you have the ability to edit the page titles and meta descriptions for each page without having to click into “edit page”. Now, when you click “Pages” along the left side navigation, you will notice little tool logos under “SEO Title” and “SEO Description” that will allow you to quickly edit the meta data. This not only makes optimizing your site quicker, but it also allows you to view all the meta data at once to make sure none of them are duplicate.
If your current website is built in WordPress, I highly recommend that you install the plugin “All-In-One SEO Pack 2.0”. It will make website optimization easier and allows you to install analytics and webmasters, all in one location!
