Google Chairman, Eric Schmidt, announced that he will be giving $1 million to help aid global problems when it comes to technology. After traveling all over the world, Schmidt saw that countries continue to have strong censorship on the internet to the public. Like China for example, block website content and monitor individuals Internet access. During his travels Schmidt has put together a list of global organizations and companies that are focused on trying to solve oppressive censorship and empower individuals. These are the types of organizations that will be receiving a grant from Schmidt.
More information about the companies receiving grant from Schmidt will be released on March 10, so stay tuned!
